Foreign Minister’s Commendation for FY 2021

Mrs. Hasparina binti Abdul Ghafar, Head of Japanese Language and Cultural Center, Malaysia-Japan International Institute of Technology (MJIIT) was honoured the Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation for her significant contribution to promote #Japaneselanguage #education under the #LookEastPolicy (LEP), which will be celebrating the 40th anniversary in 2022.

She was a Japanese language #lecturer in the program for study in #KOSEN (a 5-year integrated engineering education in Japan) for 11 years. She has also been teaching in the #twinningprogram, a Yen Loan project conducted by the Malaysian government to support #study of Malaysian students, for 6 and a half years.

Mrs. Hasparina has served as the #Japaneselecturer for more than 7 years at #MJIIT, the culmination of long-lasting bilateral cooperation under the #LEP. MJIIT is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
